Bio:
Dr. Seymur Hasanov earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Tech University (TTU) and currently serves as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies and Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Harvard University. Prior to his current role, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His research focuses on the development of multi-functional composite materials and interfaces through cutting-edge multiscale experimental and computational modeling techniques, aiming to accelerate the design of advanced multi-material composites for demanding engineering applications. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Hasanov has contributed to numerous projects and published several papers in high-impact factor journals. He has received numerous accolades for his exceptional research, including the "Lightning Round Seminar Award for the Best Research Presentation (2019)" from the Center for Manufacturing Research at TTU, the "Kinslow Research Award (2021)" from TTU, the "Eminence Award – Doctor of Philosophy Best Paper" (2021 and 2022) from Mechanical Engineering at TTU, and the "Research and Inquiry Day Award" (2021) from the College of Engineering at TTU for the best research poster.
